Alhamdulillah, this is a another wonderful month for me. This is certainly due to the holiday season in December.
- My main site that I called Site A are getting good traffic due to holiday shopping in this month of December. This December , this site getting a little bit of traffic from Google (organic search). My Site A also maintained to have a significant traffic from Yahoo , Bing and squidoo.
- I wrote about my experiment at my usfreeads.com account last month, where I said I posted more than 1,000 ads. But the results for December is not very encouraging as the ads are not getting good ranking from Google. I decided to stop posting random amazon product ads in my usfreeads.com account but instead just concentrate mainly to selected keywords only.
- I may try to promote amazon product using facebook notes though. The method is said to works based from some amazon associates experience. Click here to read their comments on promoting amazon products using facebook notes. However this model may only work for only a short period of time.
Above is the main Top 8 traffic sources in December, 2011 for my main Site A. Some other traffic sources are not depicted above.
As can be seen from the snapshot above, the main sources are www.redgage.com . In December I noticed a new referral traffic came from slickdeals.net to my site A . This is a deals site where users can discuss about hot deals. There are a few posts from users in slickdeals.net forum that link back to my site A.
Overall the traffic is almost the same as last month. But due to higher conversion the income from this month is a higher compared to last month.

I categorize my sites into 3 :
1. Self Hosted Domain.
- Income Percentage: 91.4% ($2,563.83) from my total earning in December 2011
- Currently I have a few sites under this category . I'm using wordpress as the platform and hosted at Hostmonster.com
- For December I have canceled my account at hostgator.com as to cut my hosting cost. I decided to maintain just one account and migrate all my site from hostgator.com to hostmonster.com
- Income Percentage: 0.3% ($8.58) from my total earning in December 2011
- I have currently 2 sites under this category. I'm using blogspot.com and wordpress.com
- My sites from this free hosted are not performing very well as most of my keywords are dropping in ranking.
- Income Percentage: 8.3% ($232.20) from my total earning in December 2011
- I'm also using third party site to promote amazon products. Among the sites that I'm using are squidoo.com , Hubpages.com, usfreeads.com and redgage.com
- My articles in squidoo.com contribute the largest ( $115.55) in this income.
